Fr. William Johnston is a citizen of Ireland and the author of many well-known books on Mysticism. He entered the Society on September 20, 1943, and was ordained a priest on March 24, 1957. He has been a resident of Japan for many years, and during this period he has been actively involved in inter-religious dialogue, especially with the Buddhists. Among his many best-selling books we have Silent Music, Still Point, the Inner Eye of Love, and many others. He is also actively involved in directing retreats in many countries.
